Allocated its own Factory number - FAC 491 - Urbis’s exhibition “Haçienda 25” celebrated the 25th anniversary of the club's opening and attracted around 100,000 visitors making it Urbis’ most successful exhibition apart from when it first opened. Running for 8 months from from mid-July 2007 until mid-February 2008, many of the clubs original owners, staff and patrons donated material for the exhibition which began with the world famous Fac 51 doors as the entrance to the exhibition.

Concentrating on the ideals and ideas behind the club’s conception with the likes of Peter Saville, Peter Hook and Ben Kelly all sharing their experiences in video interviews with Miranda Sawyer, other rare items of memorabilia also came from the private collections of Tony Wilson and Rob Gretton. Comprising previously unseen video footage, items from the club itself and the graphic design that was instrumental in shaping the club’s identity, Haçienda 25 also included the first ever showing of the complete collection of the Hacienda’s iconic birthday posters and incorporated original scratch videos by Claude Bessy and Swivel, along with musical sets from the Haçienda.

The exhibition also traced the impact of the Haçienda in shaping the economic and urban development of the city centre Manchester into the 21st Century city we know and love today.
