Haçienda Xmas Party, Sankeys, 28 Dec 2011 (02:27) by K-Klass
Taking a choice ninety minute slice from their musical selection, performed at The Haçienda Xmas Party at Sankeys on Wed 28 Dec 2011, Paul and Russ combine their own productions and remixes with a selection of great material and vocal house. From a specially constructed intro, the tempo kick right in with their own, greatly influential “Let Me Show You” remix before letting go with some of the most loved classic tracks including Joe Smooths, “Promised Land”, Raze’s “Break For Love”, and their own chart topping “Rhythm Is A Mystery” remix.
The elegant moody dynamic of Robert Owen’s “I’ll Be Your Friend” sees some great extended mixing and Paul and Russ kick into the second half of the set mixing soulfuk anthems with more techno club tracks, airing the likes of Todd Terry as CLS’ “Can You Feel It”, the bass driven hum of the dubs of “Can U Dance” and the oft forgotten but ever so devasting, Ten City’s “That’s The Way Love Is”.
