With a light, dreamy, ethereal and exotic style, Super White Assassin’s slinky, twisted disco holds a unique and distinctive manner which delivers a resolutely modern yet classically fashioned innocence punctuated by shades of malevolence that recalls the best of Talking Heads, Cocteau Twins, Goldfrapp, Boards Of Canada and Bjork.

Formed just twelve months ago and brought to Haçienda Records’ attention after a chance meeting with Peter Hook, the double act comprises lead singer, the mysterious and elegant oriental beauty, Tuey, with the poise of an 'Anime Empress' straight from the pages of Manga whilst Argentinan born producer DieGodzilla disingenuously portrays himself as a synths/sampling geek with a passion for oldschool synths, drum machines, effects and sci-fi touches.

Creating atmospheric sensual and haunting Twenty First Century pop which has gathered great early reactions from cool underground magazines such as The Stool Pigeon and Louder Than War, SWA’s delicate, graceful production belies some more deadly and direct undercurrents, especially in Tuey’s well appointed, and astutely composed lyrics which contribute to the sense of warped, epic beauty on what is a worldly and self assured, debut four-track EP.

Opening up Dark Teenage Fantasy is the accessible, breezy, bass driven funk of Russian Doll'with skin like alabaster, the world is spinning faster' – whose playful keys, drops and sussed nonchalance show the duo at their most accessible while second track the dramatic, sweeping White Noise combines a sumptuous, floating laid back vibe with a stark and spectacular menace.

Jupiter Storm is up third with its bizarre yet familiar ambient Eastern slants and casual hooks that set in motion on an orchestral flight of fancy while the EP closes out with the climactic Out In The Snow – an emotive and euphoric soundtrack of soulful longing and bittersweet regret of 'being caught in a dying star with one last wish to make'.

Holding a well defined and sharp vision for their band, SWA have already released the first video from the EP, 'Jupiter Storm' which can be viewed on the band’s youtube channel and a further video for 'Russian Doll' will be made available soon after the EP's release.

Super White Assassin live dates into Spring / Summer 2012 are presently being confirmed and will be revealed towards the EP release on the band's official facebook page and on their official site
